I am a Public Health Advocate because I believe that every person has inherent worth, and public policy should ensure that every Californian has what they need to be healthy. I decided to pursue a career in marketing and public relations while working as a community outreach intern for a transit justice campaign in 2015. It was then that knew I wanted to use my communication skills to advance equity and positive social change. A nerd when it comes to words, I occasionally rattle off synonyms mid conversation to find the right one. And I’m honored to use my writing (i.e. word nerd) skills and digital communications experience to advance the work of Public Health Advocates for health, equity, and racial justice. My experience includes coordinating multi-lingual behavior change campaigns for public health, announcing State investments in diverse communities’ work for climate resilience, and leading strategic communications for philanthropic initiatives.
