I am a Public Heath Advocate because I believe that health expands beyond just biological wellness – it is social, economic, spiritual, academic and much more! It is for that very reason that we are all responsible for ensuring that humanity at large has access to healthy lives. As a structurally minded person, I try to find ways in which we can institutionalize holistic approaches to public health and wellness through equitable policy. People come and go, as well as the relationships that are tied to us. That it why it is imperative and urgent that we center the experiences of people to inform long-term institutions and systems that continue to center us even beyond our presence.
