I am a Public Health Advocate, because health should be a fundamental right for all, and not just a privilege for a few. Working at a health center, I witnessed how racism, poverty, and other injustices can manifest into serious chronic illnesses for black and brown communities. In order to dismantle systems that bar people from having access to their essential needs, especially to emotional wellness, I am compelled to work alongside disadvantaged communities so that they can tap into their power, and together develop transformative solutions to help everyone have abundant lives.
