I am a Public Health Advocate because I believe in EQUITY FOR ALL! For far too long I’ve witnessed marginalized communities being reprimanded and shamed for things systematically set up to cause them to fail. As a woman of color, doing my part to ensure these very communities get the resources, education, and policy changes they(we) deserve has become one of my life‘s missions. I am an advocate because someone was an advocate for me – I wouldn’t be where I am today without those who came before me.
