I am a Public Health Advocate because: it’s hard out here y’all… and it don’t have to be! People are working multiple jobs and can’t pay rent, buy a home, afford health care, or take time to rest because of a white supremacist system that has for far too long served only a few people. As a Public Health Advocate, I am changing that system within myself (because we all gotta detox from this culture), the places that give me a paycheck, and any other space I occupy. We are not machines. We are not perfect. We are humans who deserve to live well.
