I am a Public Health Advocate because I want all people to have access to the protection, support, and information they need to lead healthy lives. In recent years, learning more about diabetes, air pollution, and child trauma has convinced me that public health leaders have opportunities to create dramatic change. That idea has been reinforced by COVID-19 and its disproportionate impact on historically underinvested communities. I want to use effective communication to advance policies that will improve health outcomes, especially in underinvested communities.
