DeAngelo Mack

Director of State Policy

I am a Public Health Advocate because at 6 years old “Feed the Children” infomercials changed the way a saw the world. After seeing images of children and families impoverished, starving and dying, I felt what I learned later in life was extreme empathy for those who were hurting. Seeing these disparities opened my eyes to see similar issues in my own community and created a desire within me to change them. Helping those who are marginalized, less privileged and oppressed understand their power and purpose is my goal. Tearing down barriers to access through education, awareness and policy change is my mission. I am a Public Health Advocate because the betterment of (my) people is truly my “life’s work”.
