I am a Public Health Advocate because I believe that all individuals including adults with disabilities should be a part of the equity equation. Too often people focus on the disabilities not the abilities. I believe we need to leverage our successes to lift up others especially people in power positions. Successful change happens when we work together and do what is within our ability to create opportunities for others and carry on the cause beyond us. As a Public Health Advocate I support all of PHA’s efforts to bring social justice, equality and economic freedoms to our communities. It is my intention to build on what I learn and implement it into my daily life bringing awareness to my community and to show others how to become a catalyst of a change.
