Public Health Advocates (PHAdvocates) brings a health and equity lens to some of the most important issues of our day. We have two decades of successful state and local campaign experience focusing on prevention and challenging the social, political, and economic systems that perpetuate racial, economic and health disparities. Over the past 20 years, PHAdvocates has helped 200 California cities enact more than 600 local policies. At the state level, we led the campaigns to get soda and junk food out of public schools, fund elementary school physical education, require that restaurants put calorie information on their menus, and fund statewide diabetes prevention.
PHAdvocates seeks a dynamic Program Evaluation Contractor to support our Neighborhood Champions for Change (NCC) Program with experience in evaluating programs focused on increasing health equity. The Program Evaluation Contractor will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a framework and process for monitoring and evaluating the project.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The NCC Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health. The Project serves people of color in San Joaquin County (SJC) with an emphasis on those living in the ten unhealthiest census tracts. The primary goal is to identify and establish long-term policy solutions to the challenges faced in these areas. Our Stockton staff pride themselves on building authentic and impactful relationships and partnerships with residents in Stockton and SJC which has been proven to have a positive influence on the quality of work and commitment to change.
